Grief Support

Sumner Hospice offers a free, 13-month bereavement program for the loved ones of our patients. The program consists of contact with the bereaved on a regular basis, either through a phone call or letter. The goal is to ensure that the family is aware of grief support services that are available free of charge. They are welcome to use our services at their own pace.

Grief Support Groups
Sumner Hospice offers a series of Grief Support groups for both the families of our patients as well as the community at large. The grief support groups are offered monthly as well as in 5-week sessions. Attendees continually report that the program benefits them substantially in their journey toward closure. Space is limited for each session and reservations are required.
