Marian PurdueMarian Purdue
Interim Administrator

Marian Purdue brings 36 years of nursing and executive clinical leadership experience to SRMC. Most recently, Purdue was interim chief operating officer for Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky., a 517-bed hospital and one of 11 hospitals within the 1900-bed system. Purdue’s former roles include interim vice-president and chief nursing officer for Ingalls Memorial Hospital (Harvey, Ill.), and interim chief operating officer for Synergyhealth, St. Joseph’s Hospital (West Bend, Wis.). Additionally, she served five years as senior vice-president of Acute Care Services and chief operating officer for Mercy Health Partners – Western Ohio, where she directed operations of two acute-care hospitals and their long-term care facility; and was chief nursing officer for Greenville Hospital System, a seven-hospital, 1000-bed system in Greenville, SC.

Purdue holds a BS in Nursing from the University of Evansville in Evansville, Ind., and a Master of Science in Nursing at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Ind. She has authored papers on the subject of ambulatory services for Recruitment and Retention and Restructuring Report, is affiliated with the American College of Healthcare Executives and completed the Wharton Fellowship for Nurse Executives. She has served on various healthcare boards and consortiums, including the Mental Health Board and Regional Imaging Consortium, Incorporated in Michigan.



Nicole BrashearNicole Brashear
Vice President of Ancillary Services

Nicole Brashear has been with Sumner Regional Medical Center (SRMC) for nine years. She started her career at SRMC as an administrative resident. Through her tenure at SRMC she has served as the director of systems operation and executive director of support services. She is currently the vice president responsible for medical imaging, laboratory services, outpatient rehabilitation services, Sumner Home Care, the Endocrine and Diabetes Center, the catheterization lab and outpatient radiology.

Brashear is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, serves on the Board of Sumner County CASA and is an active member of Hermitage Church of Christ. Brashear previously served as chair for the strategic planning committee for the Nashville chapter of the American Red Cross. She received her bachelor of science degree in commerce and business administration with a concentration in health care management from University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and her master of science degree in health care administration from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas.



Anne MeltonAnne Melton, RN, MSN
Interim Vice President of Clinical Services

Anne Melton has worked with Sumner Regional Medical Center for two years, and has been in the nursing field for over 30 years. In addition to her former role as SRMC Director of Nursing, she has been in management roles for most of the 30 years, including Director of Med/Surg Nursing at Middle Tennessee Medical Center (Murfreesboro, TN) and management at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (Nashville, TN). At SRMC, Melton has served on various clinical safety committees, and most recently she assisted with the transition of patients to SRMC’s new patient tower and with clinical preparation for the current Women’s Center renovations. Melton has also been instrumental in strategic planning for the growth and development of SRMC’s Women’s Services.

Melton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, and received a Master of Science degree in Nursing at Vanderbilt University. She is actively involved in various healthcare organizations, including American Nursing Association, Tennessee Nursing Association, and Tennessee Organization of Nursing Executives.
